Following the National Broadcast by HE, President Muhammadu Buhari at 1900LT on the 29th of March 2020 on the COVID-19 Pandemic, there will be a cessation of all movements in Lagos State, Ogun State and Abuja-FCT for an initial period of 14 days with effect from today Monday 30th March 2020 at 23:00LT.
All citizens of affected states & FCT are to stay indoors; Travel to or from other states should be postponed and all businesses and offices within these locations should be fully closed during this period with the following exceptions:
(a) Food processing, distribution and retail companies,
(b) Petroleum distribution and retail entities,
© Power generation, transmission and distribution companies and (d) Private security companies are also exempted. – Please see attached a copy of the Full Speech for ease of reference (Note Paragraph 34-40).
CEFO PREMIUM LOGISTICS LTD which falls under private security companies is exempted from the curfew but will be monitored by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) & Department of State Security (DSS). In this view, we wish to assure you that we will continue to provide our services and support to our clients across the country. However, services will be limited to:
- Critical life sustaining movements
- Response to medical emergencies
- Response to incidents and threats to client
Due to the movement restrictions, we will add a plain clothed/uniformed police officer, who has been issued the requisite documentation, to enable free movement around restricted areas.
We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of our clients and have enacted every precaution to ensure our staff are kept at the minimum risk of contracting the virus. The operations team you are used to is still fully functional, safe and healthy.
